Michael Watkins, of no fixed address, is facing charges of indecent exposure, assault on police officer, obstruction of justice and public intoxication, Arlington County police said.
Officers responded to the 3600 block of 27th Street S. around 8:20 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, after Watkins exposed himself, county police said.
"The responding officer made contact with the suspect and attempted to take him into custody during which he became combative and assaulted the officer," police said in a statement.
With the assistance of additional responding officers, Watkins was taken into custody.
